STOPSMB(1)STOPSMB(1)NAMEstopsmb - Stop the CIFS Server.
SYNOPSISstopsmb [-n or --nmbd] [-s or --smbd] [-w or --winbind] [-h or --help]
[-c <configuration file>]
DESCRIPTION
This program is part of the samba(7) suite.
stopsmb is a shell script to stop Samba. If Samba is already down,
stopsmb will report the status of Samba and return a non-zero value. If
stopsmb is unsuccessful in bringing down the Samba server, it will
report this also and return a non-zero value. Upon successful
completion stopsmb returns a zero.
Use of this utility will cause a message to be logged to the user
facility in the system log, unless Samba was already down.
