NAME
Teleffect 1.0 by Electric Arc -- mouse and keyboard sharing service

     tfxd -- Teleffect daemon

teleffect, tfxConfig -- Teleffect configuration program

SYNOPSIS
     tfxd [ -display display ] [ -f ] [ -q ]

     teleffect

DESCRIPTION
tfxd is a daemon allows the computer executing it to participate in a
Teleffect System.	Teleffect is a software system that allows you to
control a group of networked computers using the mouse and keyboard
attached to the master computer. Teleffect must be installed,
configured, and running on each of the computers in the group. The
computers may be of different types and may be running different
     operating systems.

The program teleffect is a graphical configuration program for tfxd.
teleffect takes no command line options and must be run with root
priveleges. See the User's Guide for more details.

Teleffect comes with an extensive online Users Guide which describes the
installation, configuration, use of Teleffect. Therefore, this man page
does not discuss those topics in detail. Please read the Teleffect
     User's Guide, /usr/share/Teleffect/help/UsersGuide.html.

This manual page supplements the online help by providing information
about the command line arguments supported by tfxd.

   Starting and Stopping Teleffect
The Teleffect daemon, tfxd, may be enabled/disabled using the
chkconfig(1) program. By default tfxd is enabled. Teleffect may be
started manually by running the command:

     /etc/init.d/teleffect start

and may be stopped manually by running:

     /etc/init.d/teleffect stop

Running the Telffect configuration program will automatically stop and
     start tfxd as needed.

line, the given display will be used. If -display is not given and
the environment variable DISPLAY is set, tfxd will use its value.
If neither the command line argument or environment variable is set,
	  tfxd will use ":0.0".

-q Run tfxd quietly. By default, user messages are sent to the system
log or, if running in the foreground, stderr.

-f Run tfxd in the foreground.

   Configuring Teleffect
tfxd must be configured before it can participate in a Teleffect group.
