subyte(D3X)							   subyte(D3X)

NAME
     subyte - set (write) a byte to user space

SYNOPSIS
     int subyte(char *usr_v_addr, char c);

DESCRIPTION
     subyte writes the given (8-bit) byte, c, to the specified address,
     user_v_addr, in the currently mapped user process' address space.

   Return Values
     Upon successful completion, subyte returns 0. Otherwise, subyte returns
     -1, indicating an invalid user virtual address.
