NAME
     pidof - find process IDs of running programs.

SYNOPSIS
     pidof [ -s ] program [ program ...]

DESCRIPTION
     The pidof utility finds the process IDs of the named programs and prints
     them to standard output.

     The options to pidof are:

     -s	       Single process ID.  This causes pidof to stop after printing
	       the first matching process ID.

     If at least one matching process is found, pidof exits with a status of
     0.	 If no matching processes are found, or if an error occurs, the exit
     status is non-zero.
