pfBoundary(3pf) OpenGL Performer 3.2.2 libpf C Reference Pages

NAME
     pfNewBoundary, pfGetBoundaryClassType, pfBoundaryAddEdge,
     pfGetBoundarySurface, pfBoundarySurface - Winged boundary

FUNCTION SPECIFICATION
     #include <Performer/pf.h>

     pfBoundary *   pfNewBoundary(void *arena);

     pfType *	    pfGetBoundaryClassType(void);

     void	    pfBoundaryAddEdge(pfBoundary *b, int i,
		      pfParaSurface *sur, int trimLoop, int trimCurve);

     int	    pfGetBoundarySurface(pfBoundary *b, int i);

     void	    pfBoundarySurface(pfBoundary *b, int i, int surfaceId);

PARENT CLASS FUNCTIONS
     The OpenGL Performer class pfBoundary is derived from the parent class
     pfObject, so each of these member functions of class pfObject are also
     directly usable with objects of class pfBoundary.	Casting an object of
     class pfBoundary to an object of class pfObject is taken care of
     automatically. This is also true for casts to objects of ancestor
     classes of class pfObject.

     void	   pfUserDataSlot(pfObject *obj, int slot, void *data);
     void	   pfUserData(pfObject *obj, void *data);
     void*	   pfGetUserDataSlot(pfObject *obj, int slot);
     void*	   pfGetUserData(pfObject *obj);
     int	   pfGetNumUserData(pfObject *obj);
     int	   pfGetNamedUserDataSlot(const char *name);
     const char*   pfGetUserDataSlotName(int slot);
     int	   pfGetNumNamedUserDataSlots(void);
     int	   pfDeleteGLHandle(pfObject *obj);

     Since the class pfObject is itself derived from the parent class
     pfMemory, objects of class pfBoundary can also be used with these
     functions designed for objects of class pfMemory.

     pfType *	    pfGetType(const void *ptr);
     int	    pfIsOfType(const void *ptr, pfType *type);

     const char *   pfGetTypeName(const void *ptr);
     int	    pfRef(void *ptr);
     int	    pfUnref(void *ptr);
     int	    pfUnrefDelete(void *ptr);
     int	    pfUnrefGetRef(void *ptr);
     int	    pfGetRef(const void *ptr);

DESCRIPTION
     pfBoundary defines a trim curve in UV space. It can be either a discrete
     or continuous curve. For the purpose of topology construction (-
     pfBoundary), an edge contains an index to the boundary list in the class
     pfBoundary.

     pfNewBoundary creates and returns a handle to a pfBoundary. arena
     specifies a malloc arena out of which the pfBoundary is allocated or NULL
     for allocation off the process heap. pfBoundarys can be deleted with
     pfDelete.

     pfGetBoundaryClassType returns the pfType* for the class pfBoundary. the
     pfType* returned by pfGetBoundaryClassType is the same as the pfType*
     returned by invoking pfGetType on any instance of class pfBoundary.
     Because OpenGL Performer allows subclassing of built-in types, when
     decisions are made based on the type of an object, it is usually better
     to use pfIsOfType to test if an object is of a type derived from a
     Performer type rather than to test for strict equality of the pfType*'s.

     pfGetBoundaryBoundary returns the boundary id of the boundary associated
     with this edge.

     pfGetBoundaryBoundaryDir returns the boundary direction set in
     pfBoundaryBoundaryDir.

     pfGetBoundaryContCurve returns a pointer to the continuous 2D curve
     representing this edge. Returns NULL if the edge is not represented by a
     continous curve.

     pfGetBoundaryDisCurve returns a pointer to the discrete 2D curve
     representing this edge. Returns NULL if the edge is not represented by a
     discrete curve.

     pfBoundaryContCurve sets the continuous curve to be c. It also references
     c.

     pfBoundaryDisCurve sets the discrete curve to be d. It also references d.

     pfGetBoundaryBoundary returns the boundary id of the boundary associated
     with this edge.

     pfBoundaryBoundary sets the boundary id.

     pfBoundaryBoundaryDir when the value is -1, it indicates that if we

     evaluate (3D space) this trim curve from beginT to endT, the XYZ points
     are in the reverse order of the 'xyzBoundary' in the corresponding
     boundary. When the value is 1, if indicates that the order is the same.

     pfGetBoundaryBoundaryDir returns the boundary direction set in
     pfBoundaryBoundaryDir.
