NAME
       msgsize - Return the total number of bytes in a message

SYNOPSIS
       #include <sys/stream.h>
       #include <sys/strsun.h>

       size_t msgsize(mblk_t *mp);

INTERFACE LEVEL
       Solaris DDI specific (Solaris DDI)

PARAMETERS
       mp	       Message to be evaluated.

DESCRIPTION
       The msgsize() function counts the number of bytes in a message, regardā€
       less of the data type of the underlying data blocks.

RETURN VALUES
       Number of bytes in the message.

CONTEXT
       This function can be called from user, kernel or interrupt context.
