ISDNSTAT(1M) ISDNSTAT(1M)

NAME
isdnstat - show ISDN connection status

SYNOPSIS
     isdnstat [ -d ] [ -z ] [ -u interval ]

DESCRIPTION
The isdnstat command symbolically displays various statistics about
active ISDN connections on both B channels.

Values include the amount of data sent and received (number of packets
and also total bytes), as well as the number of packets dropped (due to
corruption or system resource constraints). Many of the values can be
displayed as simple totals (r or ``reset''), changes during the previous
interval (d or ``delta''), or changes since a fix moment (z or ``zero'').

The throughput (sent and received) over the previous interval is also
displayed (in kilobits per second). Note that this is raw throughput.
When using ppp(1M) with compression enabled over ISDN, effective
throughput will be significantly higher than raw throughput. netstat(1)
will give the effective throughput (in bytes per second).

The current state of the line (Dialing, Connected, Hanging up, etc.) or
reason that a call was disconnected is also shown. The phone number that
was dialed is displayed, if it is available. When a call is active, the
transfer rate (56kbits/second or 64 kbits/second) is shown.

Finally, a line activity indicator flashes whenever any data is received
from the network (on the D channel).

Pressing the l key refreshes the screen. Pressing q exits isdnstat.

OPTIONS
     -d Start in ``delta'' mode.

     -z Start in ``zero'' mode.

     -u interval
Update the display every interval seconds. The default is 1.

SEE ALSO
     isdn(7), isdnd(1M), netstat(1), ppp(1M)

BUGS
If isdnstat is started after a connection is established, it will not
     display the dialed phone number.
