NAME
     ha_ifd - interfaces/ip addresses monitoring agent

SYNOPSIS
     ha_ifd [ option ... ] [interface1] [interface2] ...

DESCRIPTION
     ha_ifd daemon provides support for all system resource manager(SRM)
     actions for IP addresses in a highly available cluster. The ha_ifd
     monitors all the network interfaces that are passed as parameters. If the
     network interfaces parameters are not specified, all interfaces in the
     machine are monitored by ha_ifd daemon.  The daemon services can be
     obtained using ha_ifdadmin(1M) command.

OPTIONS
     ha_ifd takes several options:

     -p time_period
	  The ha_ifd periodically checks the status of network interfaces. The
	  time_period parameter determines the time period of the check. The
	  time_period is specified in milliseconds. The default time period is
	  5 seconds.

     -l	  Do not daemonize ha_ifd.

FILES
     /var/cluster/ha/comm/ifd_socket	socket communication file used by
     ha_ifd clients.
