ha_exec2(1M) ha_exec2(1M)

NAME
ha_exec2 - execute a command in an SGI FailSafe high-availability cluster
     node

SYNOPSIS
     ha_exec2 [ -p waitperiod ] timeout retry_count command
     ha_exec2 -s signal_number -t string

DESCRIPTION
ha_exec2 executes the command and waits for its completion. If the
command does not complete within timeout seconds, the command is killed
and retried. The command is retried retry-count times.

ha_exec2 waits for waitperiod seconds after a failure or a command
timeout before retrying the command. If the -p option is not specified,
waitperiod is assumed to be 0 seconds and the command is retried
     immediately after a failure.

ha_exec2 is also used to send signals to a set of processes. The -s
option specifies the signal to be sent to the set of processes. The
signal is sent to all processes whose command name or its arguments
contain the string specified by the -t option.

ha_exec2 is used by the high-availability software. It is normally
invoked from the local application monitor scripts.

NOTE
This command is for use only by FailSafe plugin scripts.
