NAME
     fubyte - fetch (read) a byte from user space

SYNOPSIS
     int fubyte(char *usr_v_addr);

DESCRIPTION
     fubyte reads a single (8-bit) byte from the specified address,
     usr_v_addr, in the currently mapped user process address space.

   Return Values
     Upon successful completion, fubyte returns the value of the byte at
     usr_v_addr, a value from 0 to 255.

     Otherwise, fubyte returns -1, indicating an invalid user virtual address.
