XmbDrawImageString()XmbDrawImageString()NameXmbDrawImageString – draw internationalized multi-byte image text.
Synopsis
void XmbDrawImageString(display, drawable, font_set, gc, x, y, string,
num_bytes)
Display *display;
Drawable drawable;
XFontSet font_set;
GC gc;
int x, y;
char *string;
int num_bytes;
Arguments
display Specifies the connection to the X server.
drawable Specifies the drawable.
font_set Specifies the font set.
gc Specifies the graphics context.
x, y Specifies the starting position and baseline of the text,
relative to the origin of the specified drawable.
string Specifies the character string.
num_bytes Specifies the number of bytes in the string argument.
Availability
Release 5 and later.
DescriptionXmbDrawImageString() fills a destination rectangle with the background
pixel defined in the GC and then paints the specified multi-byte text
with the foreground pixel. The filled rectangle is the rectangle
returned to overall_logical_return by XmbTextExtents() for the same
text and XFontSet.
When the XFontSet has missing charsets, each unavailable character is
drawn with the default string returned by XCreateFontSet(). The behav‐
ior for an invalid codepoint is undefined.
XmbDrawImageString() draws with fonts from the font set rather than the
font of the GC. For this reason, it may modify the font value of the
GC. Except for the font, it uses the same GC components as its pre-
X11R5 analog XDrawImageString().
