     XineramaGetCenterHint(3X11)   X11R6   XineramaGetCenterHint(3X11)

     NAME
	  XineramaGetCenterHint - returns a hint for window placement

     SYNTAX
	  #include <X11/extensions/Xinerama.h>

	  Status XineramaGetCenterHint(
	    Display	   *dpy,
	    int		    screen_number,
	    int		   *x_return,
	    int		   *y_return
	  );

     ARGUMENTS
	  dpy Specifies the connection to the X server.

	  screen_number
	       Specifies a given Xinerama screen.

	  x_return,y_return
	       Returns a position about which a window may be centered
	       without overlapping more than one physical screen.

     DESCRIPTION
	  XineramaGetCenterHint returns a hint about where to center
	  the window in order to have a nice layout. This allows us to
	  avoid having windows centered on the screen that are split
	  across two or more physical screens (frame buffers).

	  XineramaGetCenterHint returns True if the given screen is an
	  active Xinerama screen, False otherwise. An active Xinerama
	  screen is a large logical screen composed of multiple
	  underlying physical screens (also called frame buffers).

     DIAGNOSTICS
	  BadValue
	       screen_number is out of range.

     NOTES
	  Currently, all the physical screens managed by the Xinerama
	  enabled X server are combined into one active Xinerama
	  screen. This means that screen_number should be 0.

	  Xinerama is still not an Xorg standard. Thus, the interface
	  may still evolve.
