SCPerror(3)			 Impressario			   SCPerror(3)

NAME
     SCPerror, SCErrorString - Reporting error messages to the user

SYNOPSIS
     #include <stdio.h>
     #include <scanner.h>

     void SCPerror(char *ident);

     char *SCErrorString(int err);

DESCRIPTION
     SCPerror prints ident, followed by a colon, followed by a string
     describing the last libscan(3) error which occurred, based on the value
     of SCerrno. The message is printed to stderr.

     SCErrrorString returns a string describing the error condition
     represented by err. If err is between SCEBASE and SCELAST as defined in
     <scanner.h>, this will be a libscan(3) specific error message.
     Otherwise, it will be the string returned by strerror(3C) for the same
     error number.

RETURN VALUE
     SCErrorString returns a string describing the error condition represented
     by err.

SEE ALSO
     libscan(3), perror(3C).
