NAME
     MPI_Type_size - Returns the number of bytes occupied by entries in the
     data type

SYNOPSIS
     C:

	  #include <mpi.h>

	  int MPI_Type_size ( datatype, size )
	  MPI_Datatype	datatype;
	  int	   *size;

     C++:

	  #include <mpi.h>

	  int Datatype::Get_size() const

     Fortran:

	  INCLUDE "mpif.h" (or USE MPI)

	  INTEGER datatype, size, ierror

	  CALL MPI_TYPE_SIZE(datatype, size, ierror)

STANDARDS
     This release implements the MPI 1.2 standard, as documented by the MPI
     Forum in the spring 1997 release of MPI:  A Message Passing Interface
     Standard.

DESCRIPTION
     The MPI_Type_size routine returns the number of bytes occupied by
     entries.  This routine accepts the following parameters:

     datatype  Specifies the data type (handle)

     size      Returns the data type size (integer)

     ierror    Specifies the return code value for successful completion,
	       which is in MPI_SUCCESS.	 MPI_SUCCESS is defined in the mpif.h
	       file.
