     (called a root) to all other processes of the group

SYNOPSIS
     C:

	  #include <mpi.h>

	  int MPI_Bcast ( buffer, count, datatype, root, comm )
	  void		   *buffer;
	  int		    count;
	  MPI_Datatype	    datatype;
	  int		    root;
	  MPI_Comm	    comm;

     C++:

	  #include <mpi.h>

	  void Intracomm::Bcast(
	  void*		    buffer,
	  int		    count,
	  const Datatype&   datatype,
	  int		    root) const

     Fortran:

	  INCLUDE "mpif.h" (or USE MPI)

	  <type> BUFFER(*)
	  INTEGER count, datatype, root, comm,
	  ierror

	  CALL MPI_BCAST(buffer, count, datatype, root,
	  comm, ierror)

STANDARDS
     This release implements the MPI 1.2 standard, as documented by the MPI
     Forum in the spring 1997 release of MPI: A Message Passing Interface
     Standard.

DESCRIPTION
     The MPI_Bcast routine broadcasts a message from the process with a
     specified rank (called a root) to all other processes of the group. This
     routine accepts the following parameters:

MPI_BCAST(3)							  MPI_BCAST(3)

     buffer Specifies the starting address of the buffer (choice)

     count Specifies the number of entries in the buffer (integer)

     datatype Specifies the data type of the buffer (handle)

     root Specifies the rank of the broadcast root (integer)

     comm	    Specifies the communicator (handle)

     ierror Specifies the return code value for successful completion,
		    which is in MPI_SUCCESS. MPI_SUCCESS is defined in the
