MPI_ABORT(3)							  MPI_ABORT(3)

NAME
     MPI_Abort - Terminates the MPI execution environment

SYNOPSIS
     C:

	  #include <mpi.h>

	  int MPI_Abort( comm, errorcode )
	  MPI_Comm	   comm;
	  int		   errorcode;

     C++:

	  #include <mpi.h>

	  void Comm::Abort(
	  int		    errorcode)

     Fortran:

	  INCLUDE "mpif.h" (or USE MPI)

	  INTEGER comm, errorcode, ierror

	  CALL MPI_ABORT(comm, errorcode, ierror)

STANDARDS
     This release implements the MPI 1.2 standard, as documented by the MPI
     Forum in the spring 1997 release of MPI: A Message Passing Interface
     Standard.

DESCRIPTION
     The MPI_Abort routine terminates the MPI execution environment. This
     routine terminates all MPI processes associated with the communicator
     MPI_COMM_WORLD. MPI allows termination of only the processes associated
     with the specified communicator, but this implementation always
     terminates all processes.	This routine accepts the following parameters:

     comm Specifies the communicator of tasks to abort

     errorcode Specifies the error code to return to the invoking
		    environment

     ierror Specifies the return code value for successful completion,
		    which is in MPI_SUCCESS. MPI_SUCCESS is defined in the
		    mpif.h file.

   Fortran Programs
     All MPI routines in Fortran (except for MPI_WTIME(3F) and MPI_WTICK(3F))
     have the additional argument ierror at the end of the argument list.
     ierror is an integer and has the same meaning as the return value of the
     routine in C. In Fortran, MPI routines are subroutines, and are invoked
     with the CALL statement.

     All MPI objects (such as MPI_Datatype(3) and MPI_Comm(3)) are of type
     INTEGER in Fortran.
