STARTSMB(1)STARTSMB(1)NAME
startsmb - Start the CIFS Server.
SYNOPSIS
startsmb [-n or --nmbd] [-s or --smbd] [-w or --winbind] [-h or --help]
[-c <configuration file>]
DESCRIPTION
This program is part of the samba(7) suite.
startsmb is a shell script to start Samba. If Samba is already fully or
partially up, startsmb will report the status of Samba and return a
non-zero value. If startsmb is unsuccessful in bringing up the Samba
server, it will report this also and return a non-zero value. Upon
successful completion startsmb returns a zero.
Use of this utility will cause a message to be logged to the user
facility in the system log, unless Samba was already fully or partially
up.
