     mip6config -E address

DESCRIPTION
The Mobile IPv6 implementation has been integrated as part of the FreeBSD
kernel. It consists of three different parts: The correspondent node,
which is mandatory, must always be included for an IPv6 node to claim
"IPv6 compliance" The home agent part is optional and required if a
router is acting as a home agent at the home network. The mobile node
part is optional and is required by a host (router or host) to be able to
move between different sub-networks while maintaining transport and high-
er layer connections. A node may not act as mobile node and home agent
     simultaneously.

The Mobile IPv6 protocol must be supported in the kernel before configu-
ration starts. Please see instructions in
     /usr/local/v6/share/doc/kame/{README_MIP6.txt,QUICKSTART}.

The mip6config command is used for configuration of the Mobile IPv6 pro-
     tocol.

   USAGE
The -a option is for autoconfiguration

   OPTIONS

     -E address
	     Remove a foreign address.

     -F foreign_address/plen@if
	     Manually assign a foreign address.

     -H home_address/plen@if%ha_addr
Manually assign a home address and a home agent.

-a Enable auto configuration of the home address.

     -b bu_lifetime
	     Set the binding update lifetime.

     -d 0|1 Disable/Enable debug messages.

     -e 0|1|2
Disable/Enable eager Movement Detection. Two levels are provid-
ed. At level 1 more aggressive parameter settings are used. At
level 2, in addition, new prefixes are taken as indication of
handover, rather than the expiration of the previous default
	     router.

     -f filename

	     Read configuration from file.

     -g Enable Home Agent functionality.

-h Show a simple usage information.

     -l hr_lifetime
	     Set the home registration lifetime.

-m 0|1 Disable/Enable forwarding of Site local Multicast dest addresses.

     -p 0|1 Disable/Enable link layer promiscuous mode.

-q 0|1 Disable/Enable sending binding requests to the mobile node.

-r 0|1 Disable/Enable sending binding updates to a correspondent node
	     (Route optimisation).

-t 0|1 Disable/Enable tunneling of packets from the nobile node to a
correspondent node via the home agent

-u 0|1 Disable/Enable forwarding of Site local Unicast dest addresses

     -w br_time
	     Set the binding request time.

     -x De-activate Mobile Node/Home Agent functionality (exit).

EXAMPLES
This section contains some simple examples.

First add this to your kernel config file

	   options MIP6
	   options MIP6_DEBUG

To configure and start a Mobile Node, type

	   # mip6config -H home-addr/64@ep0%home-agent

To configure and start a Home Agent, type

	   # mip6config -g
