NAME
installbsd - Installs a command (BSD version)

SYNOPSIS
installbsd [-cs] [-g group] [-m mode] [-o owner] file destination

The installbsd	command moves or copies a binary file to the specified
destination file or directory. It is most often used in makefiles.

OPTIONS
Copies file to destination rather than moving it. Specifies a group
for the destination file. The default group is staff. Specifies the
mode of the destination file. The default mode is 755.	Specifies the
owner of the destination file.	The default owner is root. Causes the
binary file to be stripped after installation (see strip(1)).

DESCRIPTION
If destination is a file and such a file already exists, installbsd
removes	it before file is moved or copied. If destination is a direcā€
tory, file is moved or copied into that	directory with its original
filename. installbsd will not move a file onto itself.

EXAMPLES
To install a new command called fixit, enter: installbsd -c -o henry
       fixit /usr/bin

This installs a new command	by copying the program fixit to
/usr/bin/fixit, with user henry as owner.
